Fly High in 2009!

Through a special arrangement with dedicated Scouters who have a passion for flying, we are pleased to be offering this exciting course. Scouts will be transported to the Yankton Regional Airport where FAA certified flight instructors will teach the basics of flight and the history of aviation. This concentrated four and a half hour merit badge session will conclude with the Basic Orientation Flight with a certified flight instructor. You might even be able to get a picture of your campsite from the air!!

Requirements to participate in this merit badge:
  1. All Scouts MUST have a "Participation and Health Care Consent" form filled out and signed by a parent or legal guardian. The Scout must also sign the form and agree to listen to, and follow all safety instructions.
  2. There is a $30 fee to cover transportation and flight time.
  3. Scout must be at least a second year camper.
  4. We need a minimum of three and a maximum of 21 participants each week.
